Can the Dillon EDXtreme-Blue be used with or without a smartphone?

 Yes. Unlike screenless Bluetooth load cells that require a phone to view the load, the Dillon EDXtreme-Blue Digital Dynamometer features a large, integrated backlit LCD display with Dillon's 2-button SOFTKEY interface right on the instrument body. You can read tension directly on the dynamometer at the rigging point or monitor, zero, and export test reports remotely via the free Dillon Connect mobile app.

How does the Dillon CraneGard Clamp-On Load Cell measure tension without cutting the wire rope?

 The Dillon CraneGard Clamp-On Load Cell attaches directly to the dead-end (or stationary anchor section) of a wire rope between Ø 3/16" and 1-1/8" in under two minutes without unreeving or cutting the cable. By deflecting the wire rope across a slight, precisely calibrated angle between its contact rollers, the transducer measures force up to 30,000 lbs to trigger hoist overload cutoffs or slackline relays.

Which Dillon dynamometer models include shackles and carrying cases as standard?

 Every Dillon EDjunior (2,500 to 25,000 lbf), Dillon EDXtreme-Blue (2,500 to 25,000 lbf), Dillon AP Mechanical (500 to 20,000 lbs), and Dillon "Red" EDXtreme model up to 50,000 lbs is shipped complete with matched shackles, a protective carrying/storage case, batteries (on digital units), and a NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration. Higher-capacity AP (30,000–100,000 lbs) and EDXtreme (75,000–550,000 lbs) units are supplied according to their clevis/pin or shackle configuration.
