Mikro Test Digital Coating Thickness Measurement

The MikroTest Digital Coating Thickness Measurement is classified as a "Type I" gauge because it uses the magnetic attraction principle however because the readings are electronically controlled and the reading is digitally displayed, the MikroTest has the greatest accuracy and highest resolution in it’s class of magnetic pull off devices. And because the reading is digitally displayed there is no chance for a scale interpretation error. Simply the best !

For all non-magnetic coatings on steel, e.g. paint, plastics, enamel, rubber, copper, zinc, tin etc.

Coating thickness measurement using the magnetic attraction principle has proved to be reliable, accurate and easy to operate for more than 50 years.
The MikroTest® has set a standard in all industrial areas worldwide where corrosion protection has a high priority. Close to a Million MikroTest® gauges have been supplied over the years.
The measuring principle is still based on the attraction force of a permanent magnet on steel as described in international industrial standards:
DIN EN ISO 2178, DIN EN ISO 2808, DIN 50 982, ASTM B499, E376, D1186, G12.

When measuring thin coatings, the readings are displayed in increments of 1 or 0.5 microns. The instrument also benefits high accuracy (unmatched so far) for the measurement of high thickness values.
